== Evading Tactics == These are unofficial tactics that can be used by players to evade monsters ==== Sprinting ==== The most normal tactic of them all. The player runs to escape [[Monsters|The monsters]] ==== Corner Flick ==== This works when the player quickly flicks or turns in a corner to gain a slight advantage against the entity ==== Wall Grab ==== The player will grab both sides of a wall and stay at the highest point (But the player must wait until the monster leaves to safely leave as well) <!-- This makes the player unable to drop down to the ground unless the monster leaves --> ==== Wall Switch ==== The player will jump from wall to wall to stay at the highest point * This is considered better than the wall climb, mainly because you can use it in many of the hallways in the map * You can also move forward while staying elevated. * This can be used to "hop" over monsters, while still moving forward.<!-- Works better than the wall grab because the player can actually go foward --> ==== Wall Climb ==== The player uses one or two walls to go upwards ==== Sliding ==== Probably the coolest tactic. The player slides under closing gates and doors<!-- I don't really feel like this is considered a tactic... --> ==== Zero-Gravity Wall-Ride ==== The player jumps off the ground and slides against a wall [without having their hands touching the wall] causing them to go into a "low gravity" state, this can be used to reach higher ground or to enter a Wall Switch faster. * This is most likely due to the collision scripts * <!-- Correct me if I'm wrong on the above statement --> ==== Jogging/Skipping ==== If a player jumps while not moving forward too much (kind of looks like skipping, but the point is to get the right amount of air time), they can be chased closely by a monster without being caught. It may look like cheating or hacking to other players, but it’s not. This works due to how the monsters path to a player. The monsters path to a players last given location on the ground (or path-able area) and will pause briefly before continuing. I’ve found that this trick works pretty well when you jump to Larry’s music, lol.
